What is Legionella?

Legionella is the name given to a type of water-borne bacteria which causes three potentially fatal diseases which are collectively known as Legionellosis. Legionellosis diseases include Legionnaires' disease, Pontiac fever and Lochgoilhead fever. Legionnaires’ disease is the most serious thing that the bacteria can cause. The disease causes symptoms of pneumonia. Aquacare Ltd can assess the water systems and ensure you and your family are well protected from these diseases.
